Beach day

Steve took off work last Friday and we all enjoyed a day at the beach. It's not really the beach, but it's the closest thing to it in Austin. Abby doesn't handle lengthy car rides very well, so we'll have to wait until next year before we attempt the drive to the real beaches on the Texas coast.

At least she got to play in the sand...



And Abby really enjoyed watching the boats on Lake Travis. (Yes, she insisted on having a big sandwich just like Mommy and Daddy).



The lake level is down over 30 feet as a result of the extended drought we're experiencing, so we had to settle for cooling off in the pools...
