Yes, I've been doing a little sewing

After a bit of a break from sewing, I've enjoyed putting together these little projects:

I wanted a fun tote bag for summer, and this fit the bill. The outer fabric reminds me of the cover of Hacky Sack balls. I based it on Abby's book bag, but made it bigger and added an interior pocket for my keys and phone.



This is a gift for Abby's friend Sarah, who has generously provided Abby with a wardrobe of hand-me-downs for the past year or so. I made it from a few of Sarah's shirts that Abby has since outgrown and were too stained to pass on.





Once Abby saw it, she wanted a doll blanket too. To appease her, I made a smaller one from a few more t-shirts.



Now back to the stack of books I've been reading...
